Myspace & Networking Sites.
I'm going to focus on Myspace for this tip; Because pretty much all networking sites like Friendster, or 1Down all follow the same basic rules. There are a bunch of people on them with their intrest posted; These are like mini-websites for people to have a place to talk about what they're into. Why not have an affiliate profile that's full of stuff - banners, promo ads, blog icons, sample photos from the site - and your Personal feelings on Why you love our website. Encourage people to join - the more folks who see your page - the more opportunites you give yourself to make a referral.
When people add you as a friend on their myspace page - take a moment to thank them with a comment, and be sure to include a banner or something from our site (the blog icons are good for this too) So that as other people visit their page, they will be given an opportunity to visit the website, thanks to YOUR referral link. If you're new to affiliate programs - you'll need to know that there is no "garauntee" that you will make any money doing this. It's all chance really - and the person(s) who gives themself the best chances, are the ones who go out there and literally Increase their chances, by doing the things I'm talking about here - Join network sites, create profiles and spread the word - actively tell others about the site. But don't forget to use your promoting material when you do it.
